WTP's Nussbaum and Hroblak Highly Ranked by Legal 500

Date: June 3, 2009

Baltimore - Paul Nussbaum and Kevin Hroblak, partners in WTP's Business Reorganization and Bankruptcy group, have been singled out in an international lawyer rating as among the leading bankruptcy lawyers in the Northeast region of the United States.

Based on interviews with clients and other lawyers, Legal 500 commented that Paul Nussbaum, the practice chair, is 'a consummate strategist and negotiator with an excellent grasp of the law,' and that Kevin Hroblak, who has considerable expertise in the investigation and pursuit of professional malpractice and liability claims, is 'an excellent negotiator, and always extremely well-prepared.'

The firm's bankruptcy group itself was ranked highly in the northeast, as one of only 17 first- and second-rank firms in the entire region from Massachusetts to Washington, D.C., including New York.

WTP's Bankruptcy & Business Reorganization group has been recognized by Law 360 as one of the top 10 in the nation by concentration of lawyers. Mr. Nussbaum was characterized as the "best bankruptcy lawyer in Maryland" by Benchmark Litigation (a Euromoney PLC publication), and has been recognized as one of the Top 10 Lawyers in Maryland by Super Lawyers. He is listed in Best Lawyers in America and is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell, among other recognitions. The practice he heads is national in scope, and represents debtors and debtors in possession, creditors and creditors' committees, lenders and trustees in all types of debt restructuring and bankruptcy reorganization proceedings, including out-of-court workouts. One of the group's highest profile cases was covered by the Wall Street Journal, "Settlement in Just for Feet Case May Fan Board Fears" (April 23, 2007).
