Paul M. Nussbaum Named "Baltimore 2015 Litigation - Bankruptcy Lawyer of the Year" by Best Lawyers

Baltimore – Whiteford, Taylor & Preston is pleased to announce that Paul M. Nussbaum has been named the Baltimore Litigation – Bankruptcy 'Lawyer of the Year' for 2015 by Best Lawyers.

Mr. Nussbaum, who is the Chair of the firm's Business Reorganizations and Bankruptcy Litigation practice group, represents debtors, trustees, plan trusts and administrators in bankruptcy cases and related federal and state court litigation. He focuses his practice on representing debtors in Chapter 11 reorganizations, and estate representatives and trustees in connection with the investigation and pursuit of business fraud and professional liability claims, including director and officer liability and auditing/accounting claims.

Mr. Nussbaum has been listed in Best Lawyers since 2001, and was the 2011 Baltimore Bankruptcy 'Lawyer of the Year.'  In addition, Mr. Nussbaum has been recognized, by Benchmark Litigation as 'The Best Bankruptcy Lawyer in Maryland' (2009) and recognized continuously as a 'Local Litigation Star' (2010 to present).  In addition, he has been listed as 'Highly Recommended' in Benchmark Plaintiffs (2012 to present); in Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business, 2010 to present; and in Super Lawyers (2007 to present), which also named him one of the 'Top 10 Maryland Lawyers in 2008, and 'Top 50 Maryland Lawyers' in 2007, 2009 and 2010.  In 2009, Legal 500 ranked him among the leading bankruptcy lawyers in the Northeast region of the United States.

Mr. Nussbaum received his law degree from the California Western School of Law cum laude in 1984.  He is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, and Maryland.
