U.S. News & World Report: Whiteford, Taylor & Preston Once Again Ranked in More Practices than Any Other Firm in Maryland

Date: December 5, 2014

Baltimore -- Whiteford Taylor & Preston LLP is very gratified to announce that the firm has once again received exemplary ratings in the fifth annual U.S. News & World Report rankings of law firms.

Martin Fletcher, the firm’s Managing Partner, commented, “To be ranked in such a diversity of different practices speaks to the broad-based strengths of the firm.  Our goal is to be our clients’ most trusted advisors in business and their protectors in litigation, no matter what industry they are in, no matter what kind of legal issues they face.  Based on the U.S. News & World Report research, we seem to be succeeding.”

Moreover, in addition to its rankings in Maryland, where the firm has always been strong, 22 different practices were ranked at the National level, eleven in Washington, D.C., and  two in the firm’s new Roanoke office.

The U.S. News – Best Lawyers® “Best Law Firms” rankings are based on a rigorous evaluation process that includes the collection of client and lawyer evaluations, peer review from leading attorneys in their field, and review of additional information provided by law firms as part of the formal submission process. Direct quotes from clients and others to whom the researchers spoke can be read here.
