Harry S. Johnson Elected Secretary of GBMC's Board of Directors

February 6, 2007 – Baltimore – Whiteford, Taylor & Preston LLP (WTP) is pleased to announce that Harry S. Johnson has been elected Secretary of the Greater Baltimore Medical Center's (GBMC) Healthcare Board of Directors.  Johnson, who has been a member of the board since 2002, will succeed Charles C. Fenwick, Jr.  

A partner and prominent litigator in WTP's Baltimore office, Johnson represents clients in matters related to product liability, insurance, real estate, professional liability, education, and unfair trade practices.  Former President and Treasurer of the Maryland State Bar Association, he is a member of the Maryland State Bar Foundation's Board of Directors, the Standing Committee on Rules of Practice and Procedure for the Court of Appeals of Maryland, the Eighth Judicial Circuit Character Committee, the Advisory Board of the ABA Conference of Minority Partners in Majority Corporate Law Firms, and the Baltimore City Bar Association's Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee.  From developing the ATLAS Mentoring Program at the University of Maryland School of Law to serving numerous terms on the MSBA's Board of Governors, Johnson is an active member of the Baltimore legal community.
