New 2020 Partners Elected at Whiteford Taylor & Preston

Baltimore – Whiteford, Taylor & Preston is pleased to announce that Cara C. Murray and Chad Rinard have been named Partners of the firm, effective January 1, 2020.

Ms. Murray is a litigator with a focus on complex commercial and bankruptcy litigation and corporate governance, including representation of companies, local governments, trustees, directors and officers and individuals. She is an experienced advisor to boards on matters of governance, compliance and best practices. Ms. Murray is a member of the US Lacrosse Foundation and the American Bankruptcy Institute and is based in the firm’s Baltimore, Maryland, office.

Mr. Rinard focuses his practice on representation of community associations throughout Northern Virginia and Fredericksburg. He has more than 18 years of experience in all facets of association-related issues, from day-to-day business operations to litigation between associations and owners.  The diversity of legal issues that face boards has allowed him to counsel clients on a broad array of topics. He enjoys being a frequent speaker to managers, boards of directors and other owners. He is a member of the Washington Metropolitan Chapter Community Associations Institute and is based in the firm’s Falls Church, Virginia, office.
