The Nonprofit Executive Forum is pleased to announce a special May 4, 2012 session at a unique Washington location, the Smithsonian Institution, and with a special presenter- Marly Norris, Director of Institutional Relations, Office of Advancement at the Smithsonian Institution.

Marly will share with us her perspectives on philanthropy at the Smithsonian, and talk about some of the new initiatives that are forthcoming.  Learn how the Smithsonian has successfully raised new sources of funding to support research, exhibitions, scholarships, education and public programs at the Smithsonian Institution.

Marly oversees the Smithsonian corporate and Foundation fundraising efforts and contributes to the Institution’s overall fundraising plan to build and strengthen development activities.  Previously, Marly had been leading efforts to fund multi-disciplinary work as Senior Associate Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at the University of California, Berkeley.  Marly has also directed fundraising programs at Berkeley’s Lawrence Hall of Science and the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts.

Please join us as to learn more about how your nonprofit or philanthropic organization can begin to generate new sources of financial support to advance your mission, and to explore ways in which your organization may collaborate with the Smithsonian.
