Two Estates & Trusts Lawyers Join Whiteford Taylor & Preston

Date: January 11, 2012

Columbia -- Whiteford Taylor & Preston announced today that MaryEllen Willman and Jennifer McManus have joined the firm's Estates & Trusts group.

Ms. Willman, who was a partner at Durbin Willman & Associates, commented, “I am delighted to join WTP, with its broader practices and resources. As my client base has expanded to cover people with estate planning needs throughout Maryland, D.C. and Virginia, it became increasingly clear that I needed the reach of a firm with offices in all three jurisdictions. Joining WTP will allow me to serve my clients from locations that are convenient for them.”

“We are very pleased to welcome MaryEllen and Jennifer to our Columbia office,” noted Martin Fletcher, the firm's managing partner.  “Strengthening our estates and trusts practice will allow us to more fully  serve our clients throughout the mid-Atlantic.”

With the addition of Ms. Willman and Ms. McManus, the firm's Estates & Trusts group now includes 14 lawyers, based in our Towson, Baltimore, Columbia, Washington, and Falls Church offices.

MaryEllen Willman, who will be a partner at WTP, is a 1986 graduate of the American University, Washington College of Law, and is admitted in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia.  Jennifer C. McManus received her J.D. earlier this year from the University of Maryland School of Law and is admitted to Maryland.
