Understanding the Impact of Medical Marijuana - WTP Hosting

Marijuana usage, for medical purposes, has been legalized in a number of states and Washington, DC.  However, its usage and possession is still considered illegal from the federal government’s perspective.  Arguably, Virginia has been the slowest of the three local jurisdictions to address the growing public advocacy for medical marijuana and, as a result, its medical marijuana program is much younger compared to the other Metro D.C. area jurisdictions.  In this session, you will learn more about Virginia’s efforts to provide access to medical marijuana and how that compares to other local jurisdictions.
