Whiteford Continues Richmond Expansion with Prominent Government Contracts Hires

Richmond, VA – Whiteford Taylor & Preston has announced that Thomas A. Coulter and Nicole Hardin Brakstad have joined the firm in Richmond.  Mr. Coulter will head the firm's Government Contracts practice.

With well over 20 years of government contracts experience, Mr. Coulter has a significant concentration in government contracts litigation, including litigation with numerous government departments and agencies, both state and federal, and substantial lead counsel experience in trials involving government contract matters. He is an experienced advisor on bidding issues, contract negotiations, contract compliance and import/export issues. 

Ms. Brakstad is an experienced advisor to government contractors, their management and investors in matters ranging from a few thousand to millions of dollars.  She represents businesses in bid protests, protests before the Small Business Administration, civil and criminal investigations, Department of Labor investigations and complex commercial litigation.
