Whiteford, Taylor & Preston Elects Seven New Partners

Whiteford, Taylor & Preston L.L.P. is pleased to announce that seven attorneys have been elected partners. The firm congratulates Edward U. Lee III, Dana O. Lynch, Cameron J. MacDonald, Raymond L. Marshall, Aryeh E. Stein, Ilana Subar, and Eric A. Vendt.

Edward U. Lee III is a member of the firm's Real Estate Department in the Baltimore office. Mr. Lee counsels numerous clients providing advice with regard to all aspects of complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisition, development, financing, leasing and sales. Mr. Lee is a member of the American Bar Association, the Maryland Bar Association, the Urban Land Institute, and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties. Mr. Lee received his J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law, cum laude, in 1996 and his B.A. from the University of Richmond in 1993. Mr. Lee lives in Baltimore County with his wife and three children.

Dana O. Lynch is a member of the firm's Technology and Intellectual Property Department in the Baltimore office. She represents a variety of local, regional and national interests in connection with U.S. and foreign trademark matters, including management of an international trademark portfolio consisting of trademarks registered or pending in over 50 countries, and other transactional intellectual property matters. She received her B.S., cum laude, in 1992 from Towson University and her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1997. Ms. Lynch is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Baltimore City Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the International Trademark Association. Ms. Lynch is admitted to practice in Maryland and lives in Anne Arundel County with her family.

Cameron J. Macdonald is a member of the firm's Bankruptcy Department in the Baltimore office. Mr. Macdonald has experience in the representation of debtors, trustees, trusts, individual creditors and creditors' committees in various Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases and related litigation. He received his A.B. from Hamilton College in 1990, and his LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario in 1995. He is admitted to practice in Maryland and New York. Mr. Macdonald and his family live in Baltimore City.

Raymond L. Marshall is a member of the firm's Litigation Department in the Towson office. Mr. Marshall represents businesses and individuals in the defense of toxic tort, personal injury, real estate, products liability, and premises liability claims. He is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, District of Columbia Bar Association, Virginia Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the Bar Associations for Baltimore City and Baltimore County. He received his B.S. from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania in 1991 and his J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1997. Mr. Marshall is admitted to practice law in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland and for the District of Columbia. He lives in Baltimore County with his family.

Aryeh E. Stein is a member of the firm's Bankruptcy Department in the Baltimore office. He practices in the areas of bankruptcy law, commercial litigation and creditors' rights and represents secured and unsecured creditors, debtors, lessors and creditor committees in bankruptcy cases of all sizes. He received his B.A. from the Ner Israel Rabbinical College in 1991 and his J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1996. Mr. Stein is admitted to practice in Maryland, Virginia, District of Columbia, United States District Court for the District of Maryland, United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. He lives in Baltimore City with his family.

Ilana Subar is a member of the firm's Business Litigation Department in the Baltimore office. Ms. Subar represents individual and corporate clients in federal and state courts in a broad spectrum of complex litigation involving breach of contract, fraud and other business torts, intellectual property, insurance, education, real estate, and bankruptcy. She is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and the Baltimore City Bar Association, and is a volunteer for the Maryland Volunteer Lawyer Services. She serves as a board member of the Baltimore Jewish Council and also serves as Chair of two of its inter-ethnic dialogue groups: the Jewish-Hispanic Dialogue and the Jewish-Greek Dialogue. Ms. Subar received her B.A., with Distinction, from McGill University in Montreal, Canada in 1994 and her J.D., with Honors, from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1997. She is admitted to practice in Maryland and the United States District Court for the District of Maryland and the District of Columbia. Ms. Subar lives in Baltimore City.

Eric A. Vendt is a member of the firm's Business and Corporate Department in the Washington, D.C. office. Mr. Vendt works with small and mid-sized businesses on a variety of matters related to taxation, mergers, sales & acquisitions and corporate financing and with individuals on matters related to tax and estate planning. Mr. Vendt is a member of the American Bar Association's tax, business and international law sections. He is also a member of the Northern Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and a member of their personal financial planning, technology and taxation committees. Mr. Vendt is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Maryland. He received his B.S. from Bucknell University in 1991 and his J.D. from American University College of Law in 1995. Mr. Vendt is admitted to practice in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. He lives in Virginia with his family.
