Whiteford, Taylor & Preston Recognized in 2014 Benchmark Litigation and Benchmark Plaintiff

Date: January 28, 2014

Baltimore -- The 2014 editions of Benchmark Litigation and Benchmark Plaintiffs have ranked Whiteford, Taylor & Preston in the top tier of litigation firms in Maryland.

Eight lawyers from the firm were named as Maryland “Local litigation Stars” in Benchmark Litigation, and three of them were also named in Benchmark Plaintiffs. In addition, Daniel Griffith, the head of the firm's Wilmington office, continued to be listed as a “Future Star” in the rankings for Delaware.

Only nine other firms in Maryland received the highest ranking of “Highly recommended” in the Litigation rankings, and five in Plaintiffs.  The “highly recommended” level is the top tier rating and indicates those firms deemed “dominant” in the state.

The selected lawyers represent the broad diversity of the firm's litigation experience, ranging from sophisticated business litigation, to bankruptcy, products liability, and, of course, plaintiffs litigation.

Martin Fletcher, the firm's Managing Partner, commented, “We are delighted to have our litigation practice and numerous individual litigators recognized by this independent, international research firm. It speaks extraordinarily well of the firm's litigation skills and the high quality of service we deliver to our clients on a daily basis that we were listed for both Plaintiffs and the broader Litigation practices.”

In its analysis, Benchmark Litigation quoted from client interviews and research to conclude, “Clients flock to the firm for its 'excellence in litigation skills and experience.'”
