Whiteford’s Liz Atkinson Elected ACTC Fellow, A First for a Woman Attorney in Virginia

Date: April 15, 2020
Elizabeth J. Atkinson has been elected a Fellow of The American College of Tax Counsel (ACTC), the first female attorney in Virginia to be so honored.  A national association of tax attorneys, ACTC elects Fellows “for their extraordinary accomplishments and professional achievements and for their dedication to improving the practice of tax law.”  Fellows must be nominated by their peers for the honor.

Founded in 1981, ACTC limits membership to 700 tax attorneys working across the United States in private law firms and in house legal departments, teaching tax in law schools, or working in federal or state revenue agencies.
