Date: January 23, 2009

Baltimore - Whiteford, Taylor & Preston LLP (WTP) ranks #6 in the Law360 Litigation Almanac's list of United States firms with the highest concentration of Bankruptcy lawyers.

"We are truly honored," noted Paul M. Nussbaum, chair of the firm's Bankruptcy Section and recent Maryland Super Lawyers honoree.  "Given the firm's excellent reputation generally, it's a pleasure to gain this type of recognition for a specific practice area. Whiteford has made it a priority to recruit talented attorneys who've enhanced our practice, and because of them, we've handled some of the largest bankruptcy and creditor's rights matters nationally.  We also enjoy a growing role in the Mid-Atlantic thanks to our expanding corporate restructuring and debtor-creditors' rights practices."

The Law360 Litigation Almanac is comprised of data culled from over 500,000 federal cases and input from more than 200 law firms.  It includes market share for more than 360 firms in ten major practice areas.
