Mr. Daneman, a partner in Whiteford’s Baltimore Office, is a member of the firm’s Litigation and Personal Injury Litigation Sections. His current practice focuses on personal injury litigation matters (auto accident, premises liability, and medical malpractice claims), professional negligence claims, construction issues, environmental matters and products liability claims.

After nearly two decades managing a small Baltimore based boutique firm, Mr. Daneman brought his diverse practice to Whiteford. Throughout his career, he has represented hundreds of individuals who have suffered injuries caused by auto accidents and medical negligence. He has recovered tens of millions of dollars for his clients and has tried cases in Maryland, the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania, Virginia & New York.

The decades of providing representation to individuals, large national and small regional financial institutions, as well as many area businesses with their commercial litigation, loan/debt workout and business matters, has provided Mr. Daneman with substantial trial and appellate experience at all levels of the state and federal courts in Maryland and the District of Columbia.

  • Successfully negotiated hundreds of plaintiffs' personal injury and medical malpractice actions involving claims ranging from small five figure matters to multi-million dollar claims
  • Recently favorably resolved high six figure pedestrian injury case prior to suit
  • Co-counsel for plaintiffs in several seven figure plaintiff medical malpractice claims
  • Successfully tried numerous plaintiff personal injury claims to verdict in State and Federal courts
 

GENERAL BUSINESS COUNSEL

  • Serve as general counsel to several area businesses including by example: two smart home technology companies, a solar and renewable energy business, a minority owned residential and commercial building general contractor
  • Trustee and counsel to several family and charitable trusts and foundations
  • General outside counsel to registered investment advisor
 

BUSINESS LITIGATION

  • Successfully prosecuted a shareholder dispute on behalf of a minority interest holder in a tech company worth tens of millions of dollars
  • Successful representation of regional investment management firm as plaintiff in lawsuit seeking tens of millions of dollars in damages for breaches of fiduciary duty, intentional interference, breaches of contract and related claims
  • Handled and planned discovery for cases involving substantial volumes of electronic data and associated e-discovery issues
  • Successfully prosecuted a shareholders’ dispute in a multi-location restaurant business
  • Obtained favorable verdict for plaintiff in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City in breach of contract in the construction of a community center in Baltimore
  • Obtained favorable jury verdict for plaintiff in the Circuit Court for Queen Anne’s County in breach of contract in the construction of a community center in Baltimore
