Former Co-Chair of the firm's Business Department, Debbie Diehl has over thirty years of experience in business transactions on both the buy and sell side, including mergers and acquisitions involving both public and private companies, as well as debt and equity financings ranging from venture capital to bank term loans and lines of credit, accounts receivable factoring, securitizations and tax-exempt financing.  She has significant experience with distressed company transactions.  Her clients have ranged from start-up entrepreneurs to Fortune 500 companies, and she has been active in the technology, life sciences, financial services, manufacturing and heavy industry, utilities, communications, healthcare, senior living, education and nonprofit sectors. 

A frequent writer and lecturer on legal topics, Ms. Diehl is Past Chair of the Maryland State Bar Association’s Business Law Section and a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers.  She serves on the boards of the UMBC Tech Center, the Sellinger School of Business & Management at Loyola University, and the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland.
