Mr. Ekiner is an attorney in the firm’s Litigation Section.  He focuses his practice on business disputes, complex commercial litigation, insurance issues, lender liability matters, civil rights cases, and other aspects of litigation.  Mr. Ekiner also serves as counsel to various types of entities, businesses, and Common Interest Community Associations in both business affairs and litigation matters.

  • Kaan is a member of the firm’s Electronically Stored Information (“ESI”) Committee. Kaan assists clients in the discovery and management of electronic information, to include preservation, collection, review, and production.  Kaan applies his and our ESI Committee’s understanding of the evolving technology of data collection, processing and management with his knowledge and experience as a litigator to assist clients in complying with their legal obligations in maintaining electronically stored data.


Delaware State Bar Association CLE: “New NAFTA”: Changes to the Law and the Impact of the USMCA on Your Practice – WTP Speaking

On 5/29, Kaan Ekiner moderates this co-sponsored CLE between the DSBA International Law Section and the World Trade Center of Delaware in Wilmington, DE.  The seminar provides litigators and small business owners with an overview of the changes to NAFTA under the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (“USMCA”).  The specific noteworthy changes that will be discussed include, but are not limited to: country of origin rules. labor provisions, the impact on the farming and dairy market, intellectual property and digital trade, Section 232 tariff protections, and the Sunset Clause.  The panel will also discuss the impact of the USMCA on the practice of law in Delaware related to free trade.

Delaware State Bar Association's International E-Discovery Update Seminar - WTP Speaking

On 4/25, Kaan Ekiner moderates “International E-Discovery Update: The Impact of New International Privacy Laws on Your Discovery Practice,” for the E-Discovery and Technology Law Section and the International Law Section of the Delaware SBA at the Delaware SBA in Wilmington, DE. The seminar updates litigators on e-discovery “best practices” in light of changing privacy laws globally, with emphasis on the upcoming enforcement of the General Data Protection Regulation.
