Ms. Scott focuses her practice on commercial real estate and general corporate services. She has experience representing corporations, financial institutions and other entities in navigating complex transactions including acquisitions, financing, zoning, leasing, and commercial contract review, and is experienced in production of various corporate policies, resolutions and assessment of licensing agreements.

Ms. Scott previously served as a law clerk for national automotive retailer CarMax, conducting federal, state and local regulatory compliance reviews, and for the international financial credentialing non-profit organization, CFA Institute, focusing on international corporate law in support of the Legal and Board and Corporate Services team.


Richmond Continues to Assess Short-Term Rentals

Through public hearings continuing into fall and winter 2019, the Richmond community continues to debate the benefits and shortcomings presented by the city’s proposed Short-Term Rental regulations (STRs, in short). May marked the close of the survey period in which Richmonders could share their thoughts on proposed regulations, and the public hearing period since has revealed the community’s concern and frustration regarding those significant questions left unanswered by the proposal.
