Summer Associate Program

Whiteford hosts an annual Summer Associate Program focused on providing law students with the opportunity to get hands-on work experience and exposure to practice at a law firm.

As part of the program, students are assigned an attorney mentor who will support them throughout the summer and help sharpen their research, writing, and other legal skills. Program participants also have an opportunity to attend hearings, trials, depositions, closings, business negotiations, and settlement conferences.  At the end of the summer, summer associates have a formal performance review meeting. The firm also hosts a number of social events and outings for the students so that they can get to know the firm's attorneys outside of the office.
