Deepening Trade & Investment with the European Union and What It Means for Your Business - WTP hosting

Date: November 13, 2014 - 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM
Location:

WTP Offices, 7 St. Paul Street, Baltimore MD 21202

The U.S. Export Assistance Center (USEAC) in Baltimore and District Export Council (DEC) would like to invite you to a roundtable discussion on “Deepening Trade and Investment with the European Union, and What it Means for Your Business.”

Please join Sweden’s Director General for Trade Eva Walder and The U.S. Department of Commerce’s Executive Director for Europe and Eurasia, Seward “Skip” Jones for a lively discussion on the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (T-TIP) and other important trade and investment issues. The T-TIP is an ambitious, comprehensive, and high-standard trade and investment agreement being negotiated between the United States and the European Union (EU). T-TIP will help unlock opportunities for American families, workers, businesses, farmers and ranchers through increased access to European markets for American goods and services.

But what does it mean for you, and your business? Ms. Walder and Mr. Jones will make brief presentations on the ambitions and status of the negotiations, and welcome your thoughts and insights on how this agreement could benefit your company.  An open, candid question and answer period will follow the discussion along with a wine-and-cheese networking period.
