Edwin G. Fee, Jr., Received Edward F. Shea Professionalism Award MD Bar Association

The Shea Award, created in 1996, was named in honor of Baltimore attorney and past president of the MSBA, the late Edward F. Shea, Jr. The award recognizes a MSBA young lawyer who exemplifies the professionalism, civility, integrity, compassion, and commitment to public service embodied by Mr. Shea throughout his career. Requirements for nomination were that the lawyers must be admitted to practice in Maryland, be members of the State Bar Association and not reach the age of 38 before the end of 2001.

The award was presented to Mr. Fee on June 14 at the Annual Meeting of the Maryland Bar Foundation Fellows at the Princess Royale Oceanfront Hotel in Ocean City. Mr. Fee focuses his practice on estates and trusts, taxation, and corporate law at Whiteford, has extensive experience in estate planning matters, and is a frequent writer and speaker on these topics in addition to his participation in a wide variety of volunteer programs.
