Date: June 26, 2002

Whiteford Taylor & Preston L.L.P. is pleased to announce that Thomas C. Barbuti has been elected to the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL).

ACREL is a highly regarded organization of approximately 850 lawyers selected from the many thousands of lawyers nationwide who specialize in real estate law. Mr. Barbuti is Chair of the firm's Real Estate Section and has over 27 years' experience. He counsels numerous clients, providing advice with regard to all aspects of complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisition, development, financing, leasing and sales of residential subdivisions, multi-family shopping centers, industrial parks and office buildings. Mr. Barbuti is a frequent author and lecturer on real estate topics for the American Bar Association, the Maryland Bar Association, and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
