Ms. Brown-Simmons serves as Executive Director, overseeing the firm’s administrative and financial operations.
 
Previously she served as Chief Operating Officer at a global law firm. Her operational management experience includes finance, billing, HR, lateral recruiting, practice management, legal project management and various marketing projects. She also supported the adoption of significant IT projects.
 
Ms. Brown-Simmons has worked in leadership roles in very large law firms for the past 14 years.  She is experienced with key law firm financial and operational metrics, including P/L management, budgeting, forecasting and reporting. She has managed a large staff and led large-scale strategic initiatives focused on improving firm profitability and efficiency.
 
An electrical engineer by training, she pursued an interest in business and earned her MBA at the Wharton School. She spent the next three years at a global investment banking firm, working with institutional clients to help them understand the performance of their fixed income investments. She devoted several years to a NY-based entrepreneurial start-up and a DC-based educational publishing company before joining the legal industry.
