Mr. Readshaw is a member of the firm’s Business Solutions, Restructuring & Financial Litigation group. He has represented trustees, receivers, debtors, secured and unsecured creditors and other stakeholders in bankruptcy, receivership and insolvency proceedings. He represents clients in various industries, including energy, real estate, industrial, hospitality and construction, among others. His experience also includes matters involving all aspects of real estate, landlord/tenant transactions and disputes, general corporate matters, secured transactions, loan workouts and all manner of commercial litigation.

  • Represents both national and local secured lenders in workouts, foreclosures, UCC Article 9 transactions, sheriff sales, and bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Represents commercial landlords in drafting leases, lease negotiations, as well as eviction and collection proceedings.
  • Represents unsecured creditors with respect to all facets of receivable collection matters.
  • Represents plaintiffs and defendants in commercial litigation.
  • Represents purchasers of businesses, real property, and other assets in various situations, including, but not limited to, distressed/public sales and sales under Section 363 of the Bankruptcy Code.
  • Represents parties in preference and fraudulent transfer actions.
  • Has acted as general counsel to court-appointed receivers in complex receiverships involving liquidations of a law firm and a health care institution.
  • Pursues and defends mechanics liens and bond claims.
