Harry S. Johnson, Prominent Litigator and Former MSBA President, Elected a Vice Chair of GBMC Healthcare, Inc. Board of Directors
Baltimore – Whiteford, Taylor & Preston LLP (WTP) is pleased to announce that Harry S. Johnson has been elected a Vice Chair of the GBMC HealthCare, Inc. Board of Directors located in Towson, Maryland. Johnson has been a member of the board since 2002 and previously served as Board Secretary.
A partner in Whiteford, Taylor & Preston's Baltimore office, Johnson chairs the firm's Product Liability section, and his legal practice focuses primarily on complex litigation. Johnson was appointed as a member of the American Bar Association's (ABA) Standing Committee on the Federal Judiciary in 2007. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the ABA Conference of Minority Partners in Majority Corporate Law Firms and the Standing Committee on Public Education. Former President and Treasurer of the Maryland State Bar Association, Johnson is a member of the Maryland State Bar Foundation's Board of Directors, the Standing Committee on Rules of Practice and Procedure for the Court of Appeals of Maryland, the Eighth Judicial Circuit Character Committee, and the Baltimore City Bar Association's Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee.
Locally, Johnson also serves on the boards of CenterStage and the Baltimore Community Foundation, among others. He has been listed among the Best Lawyers in America, Black Enterprise Magazine's Top Black Lawyers in America, the Maryland Daily Record's Leadership in Law program, and Maryland's Super Lawyers.
