Date: April 5, 2007

Baltimore, MD – In its four-volume edition evaluating U.S. lawyers, the highly respected European publisher LegalEase has ranked Whiteford, Taylor & Preston’s (WTP) Technology and Intellectual Property section as one of the leading IT practices in the United States.  WTP is one of only 18 firms chosen nationwide.

According to the publication, The Legal 500 – United States, Vol. II, “the firm is ‘unusually dedicated to solving the problems that clients face’, says one client from the IT sector; another enthuses that it is also ‘highly professional, yet friendly and approachable’ in its service.”  In its section on Individuals, the Legal 500 noted that, “Baltimore-based Keith Moulsdale is ‘personable, professional and extremely dedicated’ and ‘has a unique and exceptionally good knowledge of free software and open-source licensing’, say clients.”

The Technology and Intellectual Property section was founded in 1996 and now comprises 16 attorneys.  The founders of the practice, then in their 20s and 30s, continue to lead it today and are known for their energy and drive.
