A seasoned litigator with more than 40 years of experience as a trial lawyer and appellate advocate in the state and federal courts in New York and across the country, Mr. Greathead represents corporate, institutional and individual clients, both global and domestic. His practice includes representing a broad array of US and multinational clients in securities and financial services litigation, products liability cases, professional malpractice, real estate and construction litigation, bankruptcy litigation, and executive employment matters.  His experience also includes serving as the First Assistant Attorney General of New York State from 1984 to 1990, where he was responsible for some of the office's most important cases, including the Hooker Chemical Company-Love Canal litigation, the Tawana Brawley investigation, and several major tax evasion investigations and prosecutions.
 
Mr. Greathead is well-known as an international human rights advocate and a founder of several prominent public interest organizations, including New York Lawyers for the Public Interest and Human Rights First. He has visited more than a dozen countries on human rights fact-finding missions for Human Rights First, Human Rights Watch and other organizations and has written extensively on human rights and corporate social responsibility in The New York TimesThe Wall Street Journal and other publications.

Mr. Greathead also counsels major corporations on global risk and CSR issues as CEO of World Monitors, Inc., a consulting firm that provides businesses with strategies for risk prevention in the global economy.
