New 2022 Partners Elected at Whiteford Taylor & Preston

Whiteford, Taylor & Preston is pleased to announce that Jordan M. Halle, Emily K. Lashley, Stephen E. Luttrell, Kelly E. McCauley and Patrick D. McKevitt have been named Partners of the firm, effective January 1, 2022.

Mr. Halle focuses his practice on business and corporate law, partnership and individual tax matters, franchising law and mergers and acquisitions. Jordan has written dozens of articles about, and advised numerous clients on, the Paycheck Protection Program. A member of the Maryland Bar Association Business, Tax and Young Lawyers’ Sections, and on the board of The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore and the Jewish Museum of Maryland, he is based in the firm’s Baltimore, Maryland, office.

Ms. Lashley has a diverse background in real estate, corporate, litigation and trusts and estates matters.  She serves in a general counsel role to property owners, businesses and Independent Schools. A member of Baltimore County Bar Association, Maryland Bar Association, and immediate past Chairman of the Board for the Middle River Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company, Inc., she is based in the firm’s Towson, Maryland, office and was recently appointed as the Towson Office Managing Partner.

Mr. Luttrell represents clients in legal matters related to solar and renewable energy, environmental, and general business and commercial issues. He provides legal counsel to solar developers, real estate investors and developers, and heavily regulated industries. A member of the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland Bar Association, Leadership Howard County Class of 2022, and on the board of the Interstate Cemetery Corporation, he is based in the firm’s Baltimore, Maryland, office.

Ms. McCauley is a restructuring professional with significant experience in healthcare, oil & gas, coal, food and beverage, manufacturing, metals and retail. Ms. McCauley represents debtors, creditors’ committees, trade creditors, asset purchasers, secured creditors, equity holders and other stakeholders in insolvency proceedings and out-of-court workouts. Ms. McCauley likewise provides businesses with counsel and preventative training to minimize legal risk while maximizing productivity and value. A Rising Star Semi-finalist of the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC), she is based in the firm’s Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, office.

Mr. McKevitt is an experienced litigator, focusing primarily on construction litigation and contracting, business disputes, class action defense, and insurance defense and coverage disputes.  Pat has extensive experience with civil rights litigation, having defended police officers in state and federal court for several years. He has served as local counsel for major law firms in a variety of civil litigation matters, including construction litigation, shareholder class actions, and enforcement of arbitration provisions and foreign judgments.
